API Kits
API Kits give you everything you need to hit the ground running. In most cases they come pre-configured for the demo user. Just run the scripts and they should be good to go. For a more permanent solution sign up and put your own credentials (email address and secret) into the scripts.
Kits include examples, so you can get a feel for things quickly.
