A bug in the quota alert system prevented quota alert email being sent since the 21st until today, the 30th. The issue is now fixed and the alerts a flowing freely. Sorry about the hassle folks.
Quick note : Problem with Analytics
Just a quick note to let you all know we have found a bug in analytics this evening which can lead to a large under reporting of display sizes and operating systems. The bug is limited to analytics, not live detections and there’s no data loss.
It’ll take us a few days to roll out a change.
Apologies for the inconvenience and we now return you to your regularly scheduled Easter. :-)
Rolling Database Upgrade
Just a quick note to let you know that we’re upgrading database servers today.
The blog and forum will be running on reduced effectiveness, detection services will not be effected.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled program & have a nice day. :-)
Update : Detection services suffered 30 minutes of intermittent outages over the course of 3.5 hours while we diagnosed a load balancing problem. We’re disappointed that the service suffered and apologies if you were affected.

Outage and what we’re doing about it.
We have just recovered from a serious 4h outage. It was a combination of factors which lead to our server running out of memory and then not recovering so well. As a result we’re doing two things. Thing 1 is we’ve doubled the memory on our virtual server (720 to 1440) – Linode makes that oh so easy, and thing 2 is we are hastening our planned move to AWS.
The move to AWS should be seamless & we’ll keep you posted on when its happening.
Cheers
Richard
